Q:Again, not trying to 'gotcha' I sincerely would like to know.

digitaldesert

I’m glad you’re participating man, as I mentioned in the post (and sincerely meant) I’ll take the jabs from the people that are involved themselves. I had assumed though that people participating would have surfed the site (movember.com) for all the “rules” - technically yes they want people to start clean-shaven but again, I say the cause trumps the rest.

As for the previous times you’ve commented on my posts

“Why is it that over the 4-5 times I have commented/praised your work, your journey out west or just to root on our Boston teams I don’t hear a word in reply but in this case I get a 5 paragraph diatribe?”

I have posted thank-yous to countless people that I’ve mentioned not being able to name specifically just because of being overwhelmed by the amount of support shown. I know that sounds impersonal but you were included in those. I tend not to use this site as an extension of twitter or facebook or any of that. ie- it’s not a place for me to interact so much as a place to keep people updated on my progress. Granted, there have been, and will be, exceptions but that is not the norm.

If you’re offended, I apologize. Again, that post was directed at a number of people and your comment was a sort of “last straw” for me. If it had been directed to my ask box I would have seen it as a question. As it was posted on the post itself it seemed intended for others to see which prompted me to attempt to settle the matter not just for you but for everyone that has been razzing me about it.

Best of luck with the Mo.

I hesitate to post this publicly but figure I should to clarify things for anyone else reading along- The post in response to Ryan’s question was not in anger and should not have been posed so directly to Ryan himself. It was out of frustration with how seriously so many people seem to be taking the “rules & regulations” of Movember when I personally feel they should focus their attention more on the actual purpose of the campaign.
